The Benefield was created in the Memory of Captain Tommie. D.”Doug” Benefield, Flight Legend and Head Test Pilot for the B-1 Bomber. As a young man I was lucky enough to be exposed to the Grace , Grit , Knowledge, Courage and Sheer Balls of a Generation of Men Like my very good friends Terry and Tommie Benefield Junior’s father, Commander Benefield who before losing his life in the pursuit of Aviation taught us about cigars and instilled the sense of camaraderie and celebration that is a Great cigar shared with friends. I have endeavored to create a cigar that lives up to the legend that was Tommie, D. “Doug” Benefield and with the Blessing of his last Surviving son Tommie Benefield Junior a distinguished Naval Aircraft Carrier Pilot and Squad leader in his own right, we believe this hits the mark like a B-1 Payload! So if you have what it takes to Smoke like a legend, Light up a Benefield Bombero and remember the men of generations past and present that gave all so that we can do just that! The benefield is a 60 X 8″ Hand rolled Masterpiece that can stand on its own Ash, Literally Comes 5 to a Box or Bundle. Filler is a Private Blend of 3 Cuban Seeded Tobaccos Grown in the Dominican Republic. Only Premium Grade Full length Leaves are selected. The 3 Tobaccos are then methodically tended and aged a minimum of 6 years. before being rolled in the Accordion style. Binder is Dominican. Wrapper is Habano from Ecuador.
